  • Michigan VocoVision is seeking qualified Sign Language Interpreters (SLIs) for virtual opportunities with school districts across Michigan.
Both full-time and part-time openings are available for interpreters interested in supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students remotely through VocoVision's teletherapy platform.
Responsibilities:
Provide virtual sign language interpreting services for K-12 students Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers Support student access to classroom instruction, IEP services, and school activities Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and district staff Maintain professional communication and confidentiality in a virtual setting
Qualifications:
EIPA certification/score strongly preferred and required for many district opportunities RID and/or NIC certification highly preferred Experience providing educational interpreting services preferred Experience working with K-12 Deaf and Hard of Hearing students Strong ASL, communication, and technology skills Comfortable delivering services through a virtual platform Reliable computer and high-speed internet connection Must meet applicable Michigan and district requirements for educational interpreters
