Duties and Responsibilities:
Communicate cultural nuances while preserving the clarity, tone and style from one language into another (English Target Language) Demonstrate exceptional customer service and communication skills Remain composed in emergency or high stress interpreting situations Maintain professional certifications Provide medical immunization records for TB and Influenza Abide by organization standards as well as the Code of Ethics for Interpreting The ideal candidate will: Demonstrate expertise of English and Target Language Minimum 2 years-experience as a professional interpreter, medical/healthcare/social work interpreting preferred Certification for medical interpreting and on-going interest in continuous learning Understanding of the "Roles of Interpreting" as defined by National Council on Interpreting in Health Care Higher level education from their native country or the United States Familiar with technology and use of computers Flexible Schedule - AM Shift, PM Shift and Overnight Shift - including weekends and holidays Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or national origin.
