Job Description
We are seeking a sharp, thoughtful, and emotionally intelligent person to join a small, high-functioning support team for a young adult who lives with a physical disability and communicates using an eye gaze device. This role is best suited for someone who is intellectually curious, confident, and comfortable engaging deeply , someone who wants more than task-based work and is motivated by meaningful, day-to-day human connection. This is a relationship-driven role . You are not just supporting - you are engaging, interpreting, responding. What You'll Actually Do Support all activities of daily living with professionalism and respect: Engage in real conversations, not passive companionship Accompany and actively participate in community activities, classes, and outings Help explore and support academic interests and creative work (e.g., songwriting) Advocate for independence and ensure the individual's voice is represented clearly in all settings Contribute to a well-run household, including organization and shared chores and responsibilities What This Role Is A high-trust, intellectually engaging partnership A role where your judgment, presence, and thinking matter daily A chance to build a meaningful, ongoing relationship Who Tends to

Strong academic background (Bachelor's degree required or in progress; GPA ~3.5+ preferred) Backgrounds in fields like psychology, education, therapy disciplines, humanities, or pre-health Excellent communication skills, including patience and precision Comfortable engaging with complex ideas and concepts Organized, detail-oriented, and able to operate with high personal standards Confident enough to advocate, but grounded enough to listen Logistics Part-time to full-time roles available Flexible scheduling (days, nights, weekends) Paid training provided Smoke-free required Passport preferred (travel opportunities possible) Bottom Line If you're looking for a typical caregiving job, this isn't it.
