- $35 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications Foreign language proficiency Interpretation HIPAA Cultural competency Performing background checks Medical terminology Full Job Description Job Overview We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Hmong Interpreter to support communication between Hmong-speaking clients and healthcare providers in hospitals, clinics, and community settings throughout the Twin Cities area.
Responsibilities:
As a face-to-face interpreter, you will facilitate clear and accurate communication between individuals and service providers. Your linguistic and cultural expertise will ensure effective interactions in medical, educational, and social contexts.Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- Fluency in English and Hmong (spoken and written).
- Listed on or eligible for the Minnesota Spoken Language Health Care Interpreter Roster.
- Reliable transportation to travel between assignment locations.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- U.S. citizenship or valid work permit.
- Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity.
Preferred:
⭐ 40-hour interpreter training certificate (or willingness to complete one upon hiring). ⭐ 2+ years of professional interpreting experience. ⭐ Familiarity with the NCIHC Code of Ethics and commitment to completing 8 Continuing Education Units annually. How toApply:
