Job Description
Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter and American Sign Language (ASL) Teacher to provide specialized support for a kindergarten student. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive educational environment focused on language development and communication.

One kindergarten studentKey Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality American Sign Language interpretation during classroom activities Deliver direct ASL instruction tailored to the student's needs and developmental level Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support the student's communication goals Facilitate language access ensuring full participation in educational activities Monitor and report on student progress related to ASL skills and communication Adhere to confidentiality and school policies promoting an inclusive learning environmentQualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language with strong interpreting skills Experience teaching ASL or providing sign language support in educational settings Ability to work effectively with young children, particularly kindergarten-aged students Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators and families Understanding of educational practices and accommodations for students with hearing needs This position offers a meaningful opportunity to impact a student's language development and educational success through expert sign language support.
