9201778-27205 Job Description Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting the educational journey of a kindergarten student by providing knowledgeable sign language interpreting services in a dynamic school setting. This contract position offers you the chance to make a profound difference, working closely with young learners and educational professionals. Youll collaborate on campus five days a week, following the student day academic calendar, with a start date as soon as possible and service continuing through June 10, 2026.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL), with skilled fluency for interpretive settings Credentials or relevant certification as a Sign Language Interpreter Previous experience in a school environment preferred, particularly at the elementary level Strong communication skills and a compassionate, student-centered attitude Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary educational team Adaptability and understanding of confidentiality requirements when supporting individual students
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as a sign language interpreter for a kindergarten student in all educational activities Facilitate classroom communication between the student, peers, and educators Support the teacher to ensure lesson content, instructions, and classroom interactions are accessible Collaborate with the classroom teacher and support staff to foster the students inclusion and growth Assist in monitoring the students participation and progress, delivering feedback as needed to the educational team
