Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

EIPA score of 3.0 or higher required. Experience interpreting in a school setting, especially at the elementary level, is highly desirable. Proficient in expressive and receptive American Sign Language skills. Strong ability to collaborate with both classroom teachers and special education staff. Committed to maintaining confidentiality and supporting students' educational goals. Ability to adapt to changing needs and update communication methods as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide onsite interpretation services for students, teachers, and staff throughout the school day (7:45 am to 3:15 pm). Ensure effective communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their peers, teachers, and the school community. Participate in meetings, school functions, and extracurricular activities as assigned. Collaborate with educational teams to ensure all students' needs are met. Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and follow school policies and procedures.
