Requirements for this role:
Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter EIPA score of 3.0 or above Experience interpreting for elementary-aged children preferred Ability to work onsite, adhering to school hours from 7:45am to 3:15pm Professional, adaptable, and team-oriented attitude Strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards in education Key responsibilities include: Providing direct sign language interpretation for deaf and hard-of-hearing students throughout the school day Collaborating with educators and support staff to foster inclusive educational approaches Assisting in classroom activities, assemblies, and special events as needed Supporting students' social and academic development by ensuring clear communication in all settings Maintaining accurate, confidential documentation and complying with all district guidelines This assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through May 20, 2027, offering long-term stability and the rewarding experience of watching students thrive.
