Desired Qualifications & Experience :
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL); RID certification preferred Experience working in school settings, supporting K12 students Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary educational teams Effective communication and interpersonal abilities Flexibility and strong organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities :
Interpret classroom instructions, discussions, and activities for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing Facilitate clear communication between students, teachers, and peers Support IEP implementation as related to communication needs Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical practices Translate educational materials as needed
