NMW offers job preparation, training, and employment services that help participants transition from government assistance to unsubsidized employment. By focusing on workforce development, family strengthening, and reducing dependency, NMW empowers families to build stable, long-term economic independence. Due to Budget the pay rate for position will be $17.50 Interviews will be conducted within 2 weeks of closing Why does the job exist? The Front Lobby Administrative Assistant ensures efficient daily operations by multitasking and communicating effectively, contributing to a positive client experience and supporting participants successful transition into employment. How does it get done? Key responsibilities include greeting clients, answering phones, assisting with forms and applications, maintaining organized office records, and providing administrative support throughout participants job placement and training processes. Who are the customers? TANF participants, Employers, Government agencies and Workforce Partners. Ideal Candidate TANF participants, Employers, Government agencies and Workforce Partners. Minimum Qualification No prior experience or training required. Employment Requirements Office setting. Sitting for long periods of time viewing computer monitor. Repetitive hand movement. Standing, walking, lifting up to 20lbs. Use of computer, copier and telephone. This role will include occasional travel to nearby offices up to 20%, within approximately a two-hour radius, to assist with coverage needs. Travel may be required to include overnight stays. Successful Background check required. Working Conditions Work is usually performed in an office setting, with extensive exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminals (VDT), personal computer, tablet, printer, calculator, cellphone, copy machine, scanner, keyboard, and telephone usage. Working extra hours, some weekends, and holidays may be required. This position involves travel throughout the State of New Mexico, including overnight stays for up to 10% of the year (typically not required more than 3 weeks of the year). The position requires sitting for extended periods while viewing a computer monitor, repetitive hand movements, and occasional standing and walking. May require lifting up to 20 lbs.
