JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Designated Interpreting Position for a Medical Student in Syracuse, NY English/American Sign Language Interpreter This position serves primarily as the designated interpreter for a medical student in all areas including clinical, research, patient interviews, and administrative meetings. The primary function of this position is to provide advanced English/ASL interpreting and transliterating services to the student and to ensure they have access to all program related classes, labs, meetings, conferences, and events they attend. Also, designated interpreter monitors the quality of other contracted interpreters when necessary.
Full or Part Time:
Flat Rate Contract (ongoing and renewable up to 4 years)
Compensation:
Bi-Weekly guaranteed flat rate Relocation Assistance?
Yes Schedule:
Mostly Mon- Friday but will include some evenings and weekends during clerkship years

You will work with another full-time designated interpreter. This a great opportunity to experience medicine on a deeper level and advance your interpreting skills through hands-on application.
