Requirements & Desired Experience:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE) Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in school or educational settings Familiarity with IEP processes and educational terminology (preferred) Ability to adapt communication styles for various learning needs Certification as an Educational Interpreter (preferred, not required) Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret spoken language into sign language (and vice versa) for students in classroom and school settings Support communication between students, teachers, and staff Assist with educational activities, meetings, and special events Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism Collaborate with school teams to support student learning objectives
