Job Description

Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting young learners as an ASL Interpreter in an educational setting near Drumright, OK. This contract position runs from August 2026 through May 2027, providing you the chance to make a real impact throughout the school year. With a steady 35-hour workweek within a single school building, you'll work directly on a 1:1 basis with a profoundly deaf Kindergarten student in a self-contained classroom environment. Candidates with a strong background in American Sign Language and prior experience in educational settings will thrive in this role. Your skills will facilitate access to classroom instruction and foster inclusive learning for your assigned student.
Desired Qualifications:
Proficient in American Sign Language Credentials or prior experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in academic settings Familiarity with interpreting for young children, preferably Kindergarten age Ability to adapt communication style to individual student needs Strong collaboration and communication skills for working closely with educators and staff Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to student support
Key Responsibilities:
