• Provide accurate and efficient interpretation between English and ASL.
• Interpret spoken English language to ASL during meetings, conferences, interviews, and other events.
• Uphold the ethics and values of the interpreting profession.
• Ensure cultural sensitivity and accuracy in all interpretations.
• Assist with language-related tasks such as proofreading, editing, and transcribing.
• Uphold internationally recognized ethics and standards of the interpreting practice as established by leading associations such as; NAJIT, NCSC, ATA, NCI, and RID. ```Experience```
• Bachelor's degree in Linguistics or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as an interpreter.
• Proficient in ASL and the spoken English language; able to fluently communicate and interpret accurately between them both.
• Strong knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, and syntax in both English and ASL
• Familiarity with industry-specific terminology and concepts.
• Excellent listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in all relevant languages.
