Job Description

Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter - Telehealth Job Type Contract A full-time virtual Sign Language Interpreter is needed to support two 6th grade students in a middle school setting. This role involves providing high-quality telehealth interpreting services for American Sign Language (ASL) instruction and communication support within a school district environment.
Responsibilities include:
Delivering accurate, clear, and culturally appropriate ASL interpretation for educational activities Facilitating communication between students, teachers, and staff during virtual classroom sessions Collaborating with teachers to support ASL instruction and student learning needs Maintaining compliance with state certification standards and district policies Managing a middle school caseload with a focus on two 6th grade students
Qualifications:
Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) certification specifically for Sign Language Interpreting Proven experience as a Telehealth or remote Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings Strong knowledge of American Sign Language and Deaf culture Ability to work independently in a virtual environment while adhering to scheduled hours
Location:
This is a virtual position, fully remote, serving students within the designated area.
Hours:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM. This opportunity offers a chance to provide critical support to middle school students requiring ASL interpretation services in a remote learning environment.
