Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. An opportunity for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter specializing in Telehealth services is available within a school environment in Dacula, GA. This 1099 contract role calls for an individual adept at facilitating clear and accessible communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing students and staff through virtual platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide accurate and effective sign language interpretation during telehealth sessions. Facilitate communication between students, families, and healthcare providers. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism during all interactions. Adapt interpretation techniques to suit virtual settings and individual needs. Collaborate remotely with educators and healthcare teams to support student health and communication goals.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with experience interpreting in educational and telehealth contexts. Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms and telecommunication technology. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. Experience working with school-aged children is preferred. Reliable internet connection and a suitable home workspace for telehealth services.

Dacula, GA (Remote work associated with telehealth services; availability for occasional onsite presence may be required).
