Fully Remote Contracting Agency:
VocoVision VocoVision is currently seeking a qualified American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to provide virtual interpreting services for students in a Georgia school district. This fully remote 1099 contract opportunity allows professionals to work from home while supporting student communication access and educational success. Position Details Fully remote/work-from-home position Georgia school-based assignment 1099 independent contractor role Full-time and part-time opportunities available Flexible scheduling Competitive hourly compensation Responsibilities Provide real-time virtual ASL interpretation for students in classroom and school-related settings Facilitate communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing students, teachers, staff, and peers Support student participation and accessibility during instruction and school activities Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical interpreting standards Collaborate with school staff and special education teams as needed Qualifications Must hold active certification through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) EIPA score of 3.5 or higher preferred (or state-required equivalent) RID certification preferred Previous school-based interpreting experience preferred Strong knowledge of ASL and Deaf culture Comfortable using virtual platforms and technology Excellent communication and organizational skills Requirements Reliable high-speed internet connection Personal computer with webcam and microphone Ability to pass required background checks Compliance with Georgia state and district requirements Why Join VocoVision?
