Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter - Telehealth Job Type Contract A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide telehealth services at a school in Dora, AL. The assignment entails supporting a 14-year-old student, delivering clear and effective communication through sign language interpretation.
Responsibilities include:
Facilitating communication between the student and educational staff during telehealth sessions Ensuring accurate and expressive interpretation of spoken and signed language to promote understanding Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions Collaborating with educators to support the student's learning needs Desired qualifications: Proven experience as a sign language interpreter, preferably in school or telehealth settings Strong knowledge of ASL and interpreting techniques Ability to work 30 hours weekly, with availability starting ASAP through May 21st Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to supporting a student's academic and social development through effective interpretation
