Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter - Telehealth Job Type Contract A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services within a school setting. This role requires expertise in facilitating clear and effective communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing students and staff, supporting their access to educational content and services.

Key Qualifications:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with certification or equivalent experience Experience in interpreting for educational environments Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote interpreting techniques Ability to accurately convey complex information between spoken language and sign language Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity

Location:

This position is based in Shelley, ID, providing remote and in-person interpreting support as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality sign language interpreting services during telehealth sessions and classroom activities Collaborate with educators and healthcare providers to ensure effective communication access Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times Prepare and review materials to facilitate understanding and accessibility Adapt interpreting methods to suit individual student needs and technological settings
