Key Responsibilities:

Provide clear and accurate sign language interpretation for students and staff during telehealth sessions. Facilitate effective communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals and healthcare providers in a school environment. Maintain confidentiality and comply with all relevant educational and healthcare privacy standards. Collaborate with educators and clinicians to support accessible learning and healthcare delivery. Document and report assigned sessions according to protocol.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with proven experience interpreting in educational or clinical telehealth settings. Knowledge of telecommunication technology used for remote interpreting. Strong understanding of confidentiality laws (FERPA, HIPAA) and ethical guidelines related to interpreting. Excellent communication skills and adaptability in virtual environments. Ability to work independently as a contractor with reliable internet connectivity.
