Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter - Telehealth Job Type Contract A full-time Sign Language Interpreter is needed to support a 4th-grade student in a school setting located in Iona, ID. This contract position is available immediately and will continue through June 3rd. The role involves providing effective communication support using sign language, primarily through telehealth services, to ensure the student's access to educational content and interaction with teachers and peers.
Responsibilities include:
Interpreting sign language accurately and efficiently during telehealth sessions and in-person educational activities Facilitating clear communication between the student, educators, and school staff Adhering to professional and ethical standards in all interactions Collaborating with educational professionals to support the student's individual learning needs Desired qualifications and experience: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience interpreting in educational settings Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote interpreting techniques Ability to work full-time hours and manage scheduling effectively Strong communication skills and adaptability to a school environment This opportunity offers a chance to contribute directly to a student's educational development through specialized communication assistance.
