  • Alabama We are seeking a dedicated and professional Sign Language Interpreter to provide virtual interpreting services to K-12 students in Alabama schools.
This is a remote opportunity for an experienced interpreter who is passionate about supporting student communication access and collaborating with educational teams to help students succeed academically and socially. Position Details Fully remote/work-from-home opportunity Full-time and part-time opportunities available 1099 contract position Flexible scheduling options School-based caseloads Competitive compensation Responsibilities Provide virtual sign language interpreting services for students in educational settings Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers Support student participation in classroom instruction and school-related activities Collaborate with special education teams and school staff Maintain accurate documentation and professionalism in all interactions Follow confidentiality and ethical interpreting standards Maintain compliance with state and district guidelines Qualifications Active Alabama licensure/certification for Sign Language Interpreting, if required EIPA score or RID certification required Previous school-based interpreting experience preferred Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Comfortable with virtual platforms and technology Strong communication and organizational skills Benefits Work from the comfort of your home Flexible work-life balance Access to clinical and technical support Opportunity to make a meaningful impact with students across Alabama If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please reach out to me directly at .
