Virtual Sign Language Interpreter | South Dakota VocoVision - 4.0 Sioux Falls, SD Job Details Contract 18 hours ago Qualifications School experience Educational interpretation Certified Sign Language Interpreter Interpretation American Sign Language Classroom experience Interpretation experience within education industry Full Job Description Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A 1099 contract opportunity is available for a Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services within an educational setting. This role requires providing clear and effective communication support to students and staff through virtual platforms, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity in educational programming.
Key responsibilities include:
Facilitating sign language interpretation during telehealth sessions, meetings, and classroom activities. Collaborating with educators and healthcare professionals to deliver accurate and timely communication support. Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism while adapting to an evolving remote work environment. Upholding high standards of ethical and cultural competency in all interpreting assignments.Desired qualifications and experience:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and an understanding of Deaf culture. Previous experience interpreting within educational or telehealth contexts is highly beneficial. Strong technology skills with the ability to navigate teleconferencing platforms smoothly. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Flexibility and reliability to meet contractual obligations.Location:
