Job Description

EDU Healthcare currently has a licensed School Psychologist seeking an onsite assignment for the upcoming year, with flexibility for either full-time or part-time hours. This clinician has experience with comprehensive evaluations, IEP participation, counseling, and
MTSS/RTI
support in K-12 school settings.
Responsibilities:
Provide real-time interpretation of spoken language into ASL for Deaf or hard-of-hearing students in classroom settings Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers, adapting interpreting styles as needed Collaborate with educators and support staff to understand curriculum content and instructional methods Assist in developing IEPs for Deaf or hard-of-hearing students by providing input on communication needs Monitor student engagement and understanding, addressing communication barriers when they arise Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with interpreting practices and educational trends
Qualifications:
National certification from a recognized body such as the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in ASL interpretation, Deaf education, or a related field with coursework in educational interpreting Experience interpreting in educational environments, with knowledge of special education practices Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt interpreting styles to student needs Work in a structured, school-based setting with evenings, weekends, and holidays off Join a therapist-owned organization that values your expertise and supports your success Access CEU reimbursement, professional resources, and professional development opportunities Come join a therapist-owned organization that values your expertise and supports you throughout the school year.
