Job Summary Completes written language translations for the district. Works under general supervision of the Office of EL's NELB Language Coordinator What you will do Provides written language translations; works with other translation services providers for additional languages found in MNPS schools. Assists the Office of English Language Learners and the Department of Public Information and Community Relations staff and other Central Offices with preparation of materials including, but not limited to, website content, news releases, brochures, flyers, signs, reports, and summaries. Develops effective, accurate and grammatically correct written pieces for a variety of audiences; familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel. Establishes and maintains working relationships with others including outside vendors and service providers. Works effectively and sensitively with international parent and children from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. Works with resettlement and other community agencies who work with refugees and immigrants. Maintains files and reports. Education Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Required Experience Qualifications Two to four years' applicable written language translation experienceRequired Equivalency Starting At:
$24.56 Salaries are determined by factors relevant to the position which may include education, experience, and other qualifications. Final compensation decisions are made at the discretion of MNPS in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference. All provided salary ranges serve as a general guideline.
