Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by utilizing your expertise in American Sign Language to empower high school students. Step into a contract opportunity as a Sign Language Interpreter in an educational setting, offering your skills and support to students who rely on effective communication for their success. In this role, you'll work one-on-one with high school students, ensuring full access to classroom instruction and activities. You'll contribute to an inclusive, supportive learning environment while refining your own professional skills. What we're seeking: Valid Sign Language Interpreter credentials Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 Previous experience working in schools or with high school-aged students preferred Ability to interpret complex subject matter in live educational settings Commitment to confidentiality and fostering an inclusive environment Adaptability and strong collaboration skills What you'll do: Provide 1:1 interpretation for high school students in classroom and school-related activities Work closely with educators and staff to accurately convey verbal information and facilitate participation Support student engagement and understanding of curriculum materials Clarify or transliterate information as necessary for student comprehension Maintain strict ethical and professional standards in all interactions Actively contribute to student progress and advocate for communication needs The opportunity offers two full-time positions, with 37.5 hours per week, letting you build meaningful connections and make a real difference every day.
