Job Description

POSITION
SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for listening to, understanding, reading and translating spoken language from English to another language. Translates written documents from English to another language. Supports compliance with Joint Commission Accreditation Standards, CMS Conditions of Participation and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of •, as well as the Americans with Disabilities Act.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree required OR equivalent education/experience directly related to medical interpretation and translation. Three years interpreting experience with two years medial interpreting experience required. Experience working in a high-technology tertiary medical/surgical setting preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONCertified Healthcare Interpreter or Certified Medical Interpreter credential preferred. Associated Healthcare Interpreter credential OR successful completion of Part 1 of the Certified Medical Interpreter Examination OR completion of approved healthcare interpreter training is required.
