Soliant is seeking a skilled and dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to join our team. If you are passionate about facilitating communication and making a difference in the lives of students with hearing impairments, we encourage you to apply!
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • MUST have Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf Certification (RID) or Texas Commission for the
Deaf and Hard of Hearing:
BEI I or II under the previous certification system or Basic under the current certification system.
  • Experience working as a sign language interpreter in an educational setting preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
  • Provide sign language interpretation services for students in a school setting
  • Assist in classroom instruction and activities by interpreting spoken language into sign language
  • Support students in understanding and participating in classroom discussions and activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure effective communication
