This contract-to-hire role spans the full school year from August 2026 through July 2027, requiring a commitment of 37.5 hours per week. The ideal candidate will bring solid expertise in educational interpreting with credentials and practical experience.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum 3.5 EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) or VQAS (Video Quality Assurance Screen) Level II/III certification Previous experience working in a school setting preferred Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) to support effective communication between deaf/hard of hearing students and educational staff

Situated in Portsmouth, VA Full-time hours, 37.5 per week aligned with school calendar
