Job Description

Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract This contract opportunity seeks four skilled American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters to support K-12 students in a school setting. The assignment spans from August 24, 2026, through June 9, 2027, requiring 35 hours per week of dedicated interpreting services.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide professional ASL interpreting for students across elementary and high school levels. Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff to support academic success. Interpret in accordance with standards that meet or exceed a VQAS level 3 or EIPA 3.0+ certification. Adapt interpreting techniques to meet the needs of each student's grade level and diploma track.
Work Schedule:
Elementary (Kindergarten and 2nd grade students): 8:40 AM to 3:20 PM High School (12th grade, standard diploma): 7:20 AM to 2:05 PM Potential High School (10th grade, modified diploma): 7:20 AM to 2:05
PM Qualifications:
Certification of VQAS level 3 or an Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.0 or higher. Experience working with K-12 students in educational environments, particularly with ASL. Ability to work collaboratively with educational teams and adapt to various classroom settings. Strong communication skills and commitment to student success.
