Direct contact with clients and the ability to use cutting edge tools to artistically and creatively execute the client's vision is required.
Essential Role and Responsibilities:
  • Design lighting systems for live events including corporate shows, concerts, festivals, and special events
  • Create detailed lighting plots, paperwork, and 3D visualizations using Vectorworks
  • Collaborate with clients, producers, and internal teams to interpret creative goals and technical needs
  • Specify lighting fixtures, control systems, power distribution, and rigging requirements
  • Program and/or oversee programming of lighting consoles as needed
  • Attend production meetings, site visits, load-ins, rehearsals, and show calls
  • Troubleshoot and adapt designs in fast-paced, live environments
  • Ensure designs meet safety standards, budgets, and timelines
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Lighting Designer in live event, theatrical, or entertainment production
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks for lighting plots and documentation
  • Strong understanding of lighting fixtures, control protocols, dimming, and power
  • Experience working with GrandMA3 lighting consoles
  • Ability to read and create technical drawings and production paperwork
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and travel as required
  • Knowledge of rigging and production logistics
Pay:
$68,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
