Duties Install, replace, and troubleshoot a variety of lightbulbs, including LED, fluorescent, and incandescent types in different environments. Use hand tools and specialized equipment to access fixtures safely and efficiently. Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure proper installation and maintenance procedures. Conduct routine inspections of lighting fixtures and electrical connections to identify potential issues before they escalate. Repair or replace faulty equipment, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and electrical codes. Maintain accurate records of service activities, parts used, and system conditions using computer hardware or service management software. Assist with low voltage wiring tasks related to lighting systems and ensure proper functioning of computer networking components associated with smart lighting solutions. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar field service role involving electrical or lighting systems. Familiarity with hand tools, schematics, and equipment repair techniques. Knowledge of computer hardware, networking basics, and troubleshooting digital control systems is preferred. Mechanical aptitude combined with understanding of low voltage electrical systems is essential. Experience working with ohmmeters or other testing devices to measure electrical resistance and diagnose issues. Strong mechanical knowledge related to fixture installation and maintenance.
