Open (Depending on Experience company will provide more) Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lighting Designer to join our growing team in Commerce, CA. This role is ideal for a creative and technically skilled professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about innovative lighting solutions. We are currently hiring two Lighting Designers with experience in one or more of the following sectors: Hospitality, hotels, retail, high-rise buildings, and luxury residential projects Commercial office spaces and healthcare facilities The Lighting Designer will work closely with project managers, sales teams, and customers to develop high-quality, energy-efficient lighting designs while supporting overall business growth and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Design and analyze new construction, remodel, and retrofit lighting projects Develop lighting layouts and specifications based on project requirements Work collaboratively with project managers, marketing teams, and sales staff during proposal and customer development stages Provide technical design and sales support during customer meetings and presentations Understand customer requirements and develop cost-effective lighting solutions Support the integration and specification of company lighting products into major projects Train customers and internal staff on lighting products and systems Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and IES standards by attending local and national events Coordinate with marketing and quotation departments to strengthen brand awareness and project execution Maintain knowledge of lighting controls, energy-saving technologies, rebate programs, and retrofit applications Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Lighting Design, or related field, or equivalent industry experience NCQLP Certification (LC License) required Minimum 3 years of lighting design experience Must reside within Los Angeles County Strong understanding of lighting systems, energy demands, maintenance requirements, and retrofit solutions Knowledge of electrical installations, circuitry, voltage, load calculations, and electrical codes Familiarity with IES standards, color rendering, lumen maintenance, ballast factors, wattage, and lighting efficacy Ability to evaluate utility rates, rebates, operating costs, and environmental impacts of lighting alternatives, including LEED initiatives Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards Ability to travel up to 25% as needed Technical Skills Experience with AGi32, Bluebeam, and CAD software Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Revit experience is a plusPay:
