Acting Academy for Kids and Teens is seeking a Theater Technical Director to facilitate the lighting and sound design of youth productions as well as manage/oversee and facilitate tech rehearsals and our quarterly performance weekends. The successful candidate should also be a mentor to students and be capable of training students in tech theater. We are looking for a candidate who will have the patience needed to learn how we at AA4K take on the Arts and understand that every student's theatrical journey is unique.

Responsibilities:

Lighting design of full-scale musicals (we use a GrandMA2 console) and have over 50 lighting units with around a dozen smart movers Sound design the musical utilizing qlab Video projection design also utilizing qlab or other comparable show powered software Provide technical oversight during rehearsals and productions Teach students to utilize the various technical systems to assist during rehearsals and productions Organize and maintain the theater tech booth, tech room and any systems associated with the technical needs of the theater Must be approachable and friendly since we work with kids and their families
