Outdoor Lighting Perspectives (OLP) is North America's largest landscape lighting design, installation, and maintenance company—and we're looking for a motivated Lighting Installation Technician to help us beautify homes and businesses across Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on experience who wants to learn a specialized trade and build a career with a fast-growing company. You won't be expected to lead a crew. Instead, you'll work alongside experienced technicians, assist with installations, and take on greater responsibility as your skills develop. Job Summary As a Lighting Installation Technician, you'll assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of low-voltage outdoor lighting systems in residential and commercial settings. You'll work primarily as part of an installation crew under the direction of a lead technician. We'll teach you our systems and standards, but we're looking for someone who brings initiative, mechanical ability, creative problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic from day one. What You'll Do Assist the lead technician with installing low-voltage wiring, transformers, lighting fixtures, and related equipment. Assemble, position, and mount fixtures according to the approved lighting design. Dig trenches and carefully route and bury low-voltage wiring. Help troubleshoot installation challenges and identify practical solutions in the field. Complete assigned tasks independently while communicating clearly with the lead technician. Safely operate hand tools and power tools appropriate to the job. Set up and work from ladders and lifts when required. Load, organize, and care for company vehicles, tools, materials, and equipment. Maintain an organized and efficient job site throughout the installation. Protect clients' landscaping and property and leave every job site cleaner than you found it. Interact with clients in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner. Deliver a Ritz-Carlton-level client experience on every visit. Work outdoors in Florida conditions, including heat, humidity, and occasional inclement weather. What Makes You a Great Fit We're looking for someone who is dependable, eager to learn, and ready to work. You don't need to know everything about landscape lighting when you start, but you must be willing to listen, learn, take initiative, and improve. Relevant hands-on experience in landscaping, irrigation, electrical work, construction, maintenance, handyman services, or a similar trade is preferred. Creative problem-solver who can think through challenges and find practical solutions. Able to work independently on assigned tasks while contributing to a team. Coachable, curious, and motivated to learn a specialized trade. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a hustle mentality. Dependable and willing to take ownership of your responsibilities. Detail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality work. Comfortable communicating with coworkers, supervisors, and clients. Respectful of clients' property, time, and privacy. Well-groomed and professional in appearance and conduct. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. High school diploma or GED required. Backgrounds that translate especially well to this position include landscaping, irrigation, electrical apprenticeships, construction, property maintenance, pest control, cable installation, and general handyman work. Experience with low-voltage lighting is helpful but not required. Compensation & Growth This position is designed for someone who wants to develop valuable technical skills and grow with a fast-growing company. As you gain experience and demonstrate strong performance, there may be opportunities to take on more responsibility and advance into positions such as Lead Installation Technician, Service Technician, Lighting Designer, or other roles within the company. We offer competitive pay based on experience, along with hands-on training and opportunities for professional growth. Why OLP? You'll join a tight-knit team backed by the systems, training, and reputation of North America's largest landscape lighting company. You'll learn a specialized trade, work on beautiful properties, and see the results of your work every day. If you bring a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the drive to keep moving and improving, we'll give you the opportunity to build a rewarding career with us. Outdoor Lighting Perspectives is an equal opportunity employer and supports a drug-free workplace.
