Job Description
Centenary College of Louisiana invites applications for a promotion-track faculty appointment for Centenary Theatre Program beginningJanuary 2027. Centenary Theatre Program (CTP) seeks skilled candidates to teach 1-2 technical theatre courses per semester, while alsoserving as the Director of Technical Theatre for the program. Courses may include general and specialized courses in technical theatre,stagecraft, AutoCAD and other departmental offerings as needed in a liberal arts environment. As Director of Technical Theatre, other dutiesinclude managing CTP work-study students, maintaining primary oversight and leadership of construction of sets, scenery, and props for ourfour annual main stage productions, including active management of the scene shop, costume shop, lighting and audio booths, and backstageareas. A terminal degree in Theatre (MFA) in the area of Technical Direction or Scenic Design is required. Professional experience intechnical direction is preferred.
