In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing outdoor lighting systems that transform landscapes into stunning visual displays. Your expertise will ensure that each installation is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, creating captivating nighttime environments. Duties Install outdoor permanent lighting systems according to schematics and project specifications, ensuring precise placement and secure mounting. Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, wire, and connect lighting fixtures, transformers, and low voltage wiring. Troubleshoot electrical issues by interpreting schematics, testing circuits with ohmmeters, and diagnosing equipment faults. Perform maintenance on installed systems, including replacing bulbs or components, and checking wiring integrity. Repair damaged or malfunctioning equipment promptly to restore optimal performance while adhering to safety standards. Conduct system testing using computer hardware and networking tools to verify proper operation and connectivity of lighting controls. Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities for ongoing system management. Experience/Requirements Proven experience in field service roles involving outdoor electrical or lighting installations. Familiarity with hand tools, low voltage wiring techniques, and schematic reading is essential. Will need your own tools and transportation. Knowledge of computer hardware and networking principles related to lighting control systems enhances your effectiveness. Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in equipment repair and maintenance ensures reliable system performance. Ability and comfort to be on high ladders for installation. Need to be able to do multiple jobs a week, and potentially multiple jobs a day. Can have a crew of people, just need to notify the company. Compensation Compensation will be based on the amount of square feet that is being installed. Around $2-$3/sqft is standard.
