Equipment Rental Technician I Switch - 3.7 St. Louis, MO Job Details 2 hours ago Qualifications Organizational skills Entry level Under 1 year Full Job Description Under direct supervision, the Equipment Rental Technician I loads/unloads trucks, pulls, preps, and restores audio/visual equipment, cleans, and organizes storage area, tests and maintains equipment, and operates forklift, cargo van, and box trucks.
Essential Responsibilities:
Uncases, assembles, connects, and tunes equipment, appropriately per event specifications. Load and unload trucks. Ensures the equipment storage area is kept clean and organized on a day-to-day basis and that all supplies are put back in their designated areas when they are ready to be returned to storage. Possess basic knowledge of lighting, rigging, staging, scenic, video and audio equipment. Flexibility and willingness to adjust work schedule to meet the demands of our clients. Consistently follows proper safety and security measures. Safely operates forklift, cargo van, 16' and 24' box trucks. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED 0-3 years' experience in at least one facet of event production (Audio, Lighting, Video, rigging, staging, technical direction, production management) Valid in-state Drivers' License Able to perform some strenuous physical tasks daily including the ability to lift 50 lbs. Must have a sense of urgency and efficiency and the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Must have strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and exercise good judgement.
Preferred Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (or BFA) - Theater, Technical Production, Audio Production, Stage Management, Lighting Production, etc. Class E Drivers' License Forklift Certification Physical Demands (refer to Addendum): Ability to work in a physical environment and lift 100 pounds.
