Central Staff Position Overview The Video Broadcast Coordinator supports the visual storytelling and execution of weekend services by overseeing camera direction, broadcast quality, and central ProPresenter content creation and standards across all campuses. This role works under the Creative Director and collaborates closely with the Central Production Director to ensure cohesive visual quality across all campuses. The Coordinator oversees camera operators, broadcast teams, and campus lighting technicians to deliver consistent, high-quality online and in-room broadcast experiences. Principal Duties + Responsibilities Broadcast Leadership + Execution Oversee all broadcast video elements for weekend services, events, and online experiences Lead the broadcast team during rehearsals and live services, directing camera shots, switching, pacing, and overall visual rhythm Ensure color consistency, exposure balance, and framing across all cameras Maintain visual identity and brand standards of the video culture of The Courageous Church Oversee all broadcast-specific show files, templates, camera settings, shot lists, and visual workflows Actively contribute to the planning, filming, and execution of special video elements when needed Lighting + Visual Atmosphere Collaborate with the creative and production departments to build lighting looks that translate well on camera and create a consistent multisite brand feel Oversee lighting technicians to ensure proper key lighting, color temperature, and broadcast-friendly lighting design Provide training on lighting for broadcast, exposure, and overall stage visibility Camera Systems + Volunteer Development Recruit, train, and lead camera operators, broadcast directors, and video switcher operators across campuses Create and maintain camera operator guides, shot libraries, cue sheets, and visual standards Provide ongoing coaching to volunteers and staff to sharpen skill, creativity, and execution Develop and lead training nights and hands-on workshops for broadcast and lighting volunteers Visual Storytelling + Creative Integration Collaborate with Creative department to execute the visual style of sermon series, special weekends, and seasonal events Build and prepare all central ProPresenter files for weekend services and Courageous events including teaching slides, lower thirds, announcements, video cues, transitions and service flow elements Distribute finalized ProPresenter files to all campuses in a timely and organized manner Maintain consistent formatting, layout, fonts, and visual presentation across campuses Establish and maintain ProPresenter templates and screen standards Ensure lower thirds, graphics, transitions, and overlays match the tone and brand of each service Cross-Department Collaboration Work closely with the Central Production Department to align on system capabilities, upgrades, and broadcast needs Attend creative and programming meetings to give insight on visual storytelling, camera direction, lighting, and broadcast quality Communicate weekly with campus broadcast teams for feedback, consistency, and improvement Support Wednesday evening experiences (youth, church events), as needed Support Thursday evening experiences and rehearsals, as needed Skills Required Proficient with broadcast and cinema camera systems (Blackmagic URSA, Sony FX series, Canon C series or similar) Strong understanding of camera shading, CCU operation, LUT management, and color science Experience directing multi-camera live events Skilled in shot composition, movement, timing, and pace Understanding of key light, fill light, backlight, color temperature, and eliminating flicker Skilled in operating and directing on ATEM, Ross, FOR-A, or similar systems Experience with multicam switching, transitions, graphics, and ISO recording workflows Proficient in propresenter Leadership Expectations We live a Jesus First Lifestyle | We honor God with our time, treasure, talent, and our title We are courageously committed | We are committed to the mission, the team, and the people We have a growth mindset | We adapt to change and embrace feedback We are secure, stable, and consistent | We are people who can be counted on and trusted We are fun and interesting | We strive to be positive people who others love to be around
