This role combines design development, technical drawing production, manufacturer communication, and quality assurance. You'll be working with a small team in a creative, communal environment in the heart of Manhattan's Design District.
Responsibilities:
Create technical drawings, fabrication files, and renderings Develop custom lighting designs for production Communicate with local manufacturers, fabricators, and vendors Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure products meet design intent, craftsmanship standards, and brand expectations Assist with work orders, material sourcing, and production coordination Visit fabrication shops as needed to review production and resolve issues
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree 2+ years of relevant design or production experience (lighting design experience preferred) Proficiency in Autodesk Fusion (or similar), Adobe Suite, and Keyshot Knowledge of metal fabrication and manufacturing processes Experience working directly with fabricators and manufacturers Strong attention to detail and communication skills Fluent English Available to work in Midtown Manhattan 5 days per week
Preferred:
Ability to make realistic renderings for use in marketing and social media Knowledge of UL safety standards Experience with product photography

From $30.00 per hour
