Equipment Technician - Night Shift

Equipment Technician As a key member of the studio-client concierge team, the Equipment Technician is the main day-of contact for client gear needs during Shoots and Events. They coordinate with internal teams to ensure professional and efficient service.

On-set duties include:

equipment setup and breakdown, addressing client requests, and maintaining gear inventory. Technicians are also responsible for gear quality control and accurate check-in/out using rental software. This role offers hands-on experience and learning in photography and production.

Responsibilities:

Deliver, set up, and stage requested gear Break down and inventory equipment post-shoot Reset studio to standard or custom layouts Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment/storage areas Ensure accuracy of gear transactions Perform gear maintenance and repairs Interpret and document client gear needs

Qualifications:

1+ year in a related field Strong knowledge of photo, lighting, grip, electric, and production gear Familiarity with still and motion digital preferred On-set experience and ability to lift 50+ lbs Excellent communication, organization, and efficiency Positive, proactive attitude Must have valid drivers license to operate in NYC Must have prior photo studio equipment experience Must be able to paint cyclorama and walls Reports to: EQ +
