Role Summary:
Reporting to the Lighting Manager, the Lighting Estimator is a key member of the lighting team. This position is responsible for quoting, closing, and preparing submittals.
Exciting work you will do:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Lighting Estimator position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following: Develop quotations for lighting equipment, products, and systems
Follow up on and appropriately position Kendall on all lighting bids
Prepare submittals for lighting projects
Close lighting business
Effectively communicate with inside/outside sales, customers, contractors, representatives, vendors, architects, and engineers
Maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors
Attend vendor lunch & learns and lighting industry functions and events
Provide Lighting Department support for all company departments, including potential site visits as appropriate

Work Experience:
Experience in the lighting industry; experience preparing and distributing lighting project quotes
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Analytics/Computer Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment
Cross-functional skills: Strong customer orientation; strong interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Communication Skills:
Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to sit, talk, and hear; ability to sit for up to 8 hours per day
