A lot of that comes down to light, and that's where you come in. As our Gaffer, you own the lighting on set. You work side by side with our Director and DP to take the creative vision and make it real, shot by shot. You're not just hanging lights. You're helping people care about what they're watching. What You'll Do Sit in on pre-production and help build a lighting plan that serves the story Scout locations and spot the problems before they cost us time on set: power, windows, tight spaces, bad overheads Put together the lighting package and handle gear, rentals, and load-in Run lighting on set: setup, adjustments, and wrap Handle power and cable runs, and keep the set safe Lead the grips, electrics, and PAs working with you Adjust fast when plans change, because they will Keep the look consistent from the first setup to the last Leave every location the way we found it, and keep our gear in shape Who We're Looking For You've worked as a Gaffer or Best Boy on commercial, branded, or narrative shoots You understand light: shape, color, exposure, and mood You know your way around LEDs, tungsten, HMIs, and practicals You know power and you take safety seriously You can look at a reference frame and know how to build it You communicate clearly and lead a crew without ego You stay calm when things get hectic, and you bring solutions, not stress You show up on time, prepared, and ready to work Bonus if you have your own kit or a vehicle Why AOK We care about the work, and we care about the people doing it.
