Temporary AV/Lighting Technician

EVENT PRODUCTION
Serve as on-site liaison for group AV/lighting needs for Student Union events Create lighting scripts based on client needs and requirements Operate AV/lighting equipment for technical rehearsals and performancesAUDIO/VISUAL SETUP
Assist with student organizations, departments, and external groups on AV and lighting needs for auditorium eventsASSET MANAGEMENT
Perform/Arrange maintenance and operation of all sound systems, video equipment, lighting systems and related equipment Assist Building Manager as needed with installs, alters, repairs and maintenance of equipment Stay current of new technology concerning the auditorium Make recommendations to Assistant Director on upgrades and new purchases of equipmentRequired Qualifications Education:
High School diploma orGED Experience:
1 year of AV and lighting experienceKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of sound, lighting, and technology systems; Lighting and sound design/operation skills; Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without need now or in the future for sponsorship for employment-based visa status.Preferred Qualifications Education:
Associate degree or other certificationsExperience:
3 years of experience with sound and lighting system design, setup, and operation; experience with ETC lighting software and Pro Presenter softwareKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of sound, lighting, and technology systems; Lighting and sound design/operation skills; Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Location Location:
