This role represents HomePro on-site and requires strong customer communication, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install outdoor audio systems, landscape and accent lighting, weather-rated televisions, shades, mounts, and other outdoor AV components per design plans. Run and terminate low-voltage cabling, conceal cabling per customer expectations, and perform wire pulls through conduit and landscape areas. Mount and secure equipment to patios, pergolas, and other outdoor structures following manufacturer instructions and company best practices. Program and configure control systems, multi-room audio zones, and basic automation interfaces for outdoor living features. Test and verify system operation; troubleshoot and resolve installation issues promptly. Coordinate with project managers, electricians, and other trades to ensure proper power, grounding, and scheduling for installations. Maintain a clean and safe work area; follow company safety protocols and use personal protective equipment. Maintain service vehicle, tools, and inventory; report missing or damaged equipment. Provide excellent customer service, explain system operation to customers, and gather feedback at project completion. Document work in the company dispatch/CRM system and submit service reports in a timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager. Required Skills & Abilities Minimum 2 years hands-on installation experience in outdoor audio, landscape lighting, outdoor TVs, or related AV/home automation installations. Proficiency with low-voltage wiring, cable termination (RJ45, speaker wire, coax), and basic electrical concepts for safe installation practices. Ability to read and follow installation diagrams, schematics, and work orders accurately. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills. Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions and performing physical tasks (lifting, climbing ladders, bending). Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks. Preferred Qualifications Experience with landscape lighting design and installation. Familiarity with smart home control platforms, multi-room audio systems, and network basics. Low-voltage or related certification. Prior experience working in residential construction or with subcontractor crews. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training or certificate programs in electronics, AV technology, or related fields are a plus. Physical Requirements Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in outdoor environments. Ability to safely use hand and power tools, lifts, and jobsite equipment.
