In this position, you would be a key part of the Team, ensuring that Lonestar's projects are successfully estimated and quoted. You will use your strong organizational skills to work closely with our sales team, manufacturer representative agencies, and manufacturers to acquire the necessary information to account for, estimate, and accurately quote all materials associated with the lighting scope of construction projects. The main role includes preparing photometric studies to ensure code compliance for VE options, reviewing quantity takeoffs and bids of lighting fixtures based upon various stages of construction drawings, and quotations to customers by utilizing sales and technical knowledge for the preparation of quotation packages.
Responsibilities:
Prepare point-by-point photometric analyses by thoroughly reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting construction documents and plans provided by the customer Discuss the results directly with the customer and sales personnel, indicating any modifications to the design, fixture placement and/or fixture selection to meet the expected lighting level or effect. Provide lighting recommendations and technical assistance to designers. Review estimates and takeoffs by lower tier employees. Providing constructive feedback to foster professional growth. Complete estimates for routine and complex Multifamily Projects, as needed to maintain bid board deadlines. Collaborate with Lonestar's sales team and customers to understand all pertinent project details Gather all necessary information for accurate estimate and quote projects, including quantity takeoffs, or review other employee's quantity takeoffs and take ownership to finalize estimate. Identify and communicate discrepancies in drawing layouts and quantities to sales as applicable, between Electrical, Architectural and ID drawings Send quote requests to manufacturers and manufacturer representatives as applicable Correspond with various stakeholders, including but not limited to sales team, manufacturer's representatives, and external clients Ensure work is delivered accurately and timely to agreed service level Obtain and maintain current information on agents ongoing pricing structures Administer quotes with special instructions and documentation requirements Expedite project quotes and prepare required client reports Communicate with all departments involved in completing quotations Participate in job handoff meetings Embody passion, flexibility, adaptability, innovation, customer focus and ethical conduct in all aspects of the role. Perform other related duties as requested by supervisor or manager Requirements Ability to work with customers and provide excellent service Outstanding computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam Working knowledge of AGi32, Visual (or similar software) and AutoCAD® (or comparable) computer aided drafting software Previous experience in estimation or related field preferred Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively. Demonstrated adaptability to a fast-paced, dynamic organization Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities Ability to effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from sales team, and clients.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required infrequently. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
