We are seeking a full-time Grip and Lighting Rental Technician to add to the team at our Madison, WI, location. This is a great entry-level position for those seeking to break into the film industry.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner Deliver and pick up rental equipment, potentially involving long-distance travel Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all interactions
Logistics and Inventory:
Efficiently pull, prepare, and check in customer orders and returns Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular equipment inspections Load and unload trucks, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of equipment Perform general shipping and receiving duties for both boxed and palletized stock Accurately report damaged equipment to rental staff and in our inventory system
Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance:
Regularly inspect and maintain rental equipment Ensure that all vehicles are clean, functional, and ready for rental
Qualifications:
Positive attitude and a willingness to learn Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Age 21+ High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License with clean driving record Reliable Transportation Flexibility for nights and weekends Criminal background check and drug screen clearance Basic mechanical, math, and computer skills Independent work capability Strong communication (verbal and written) Strong organizational and time management skills Physical stamina (lifting 50-100 lbs., standing 8-10 hours) Comfortable with dogs
Preferences:
Lighting/camera equipment experience Warehouse experience Forklift operation Non-CDL truck driving Advanced mechanical and tool skills Basic auto maintenance skills a plus (tire change, oil change, battery charge, etc.)
