Our mission is to change the landscape of youth performance training in Los Angeles. The Role Your primary responsibility is coaching athletes. As Director of Sports Performance, you'll spend the majority of your time coaching on the training floor. You'll also help set coaching standards, mentor fellow coaches, and build the culture that defines the athlete experience at Redline. This is a Director of Sports Performance & Head Coach role—a hands-on leadership position for a coach who wants to lead by example while continuing to coach every day. This role combines Director of Sports Performance responsibilities with hands-on coaching. As the location grows, leadership responsibilities will continue expanding. Programming is provided by Redline HQ. Your role is to execute it with excellence, consistency, and care. You will coach athletes. You will lead coaches. You will shape culture in the facility and community. Key ResponsibilitiesCoaching (Primary Responsibility) Coach youth performance training sessions Deliver Redline programming with energy, consistency, and excellence Create an engaging training environment where athletes feel challenged, supported, and excited to return Build meaningful relationships with athletes across all sports and ages Ensure every session is safe, organized, and professionally run Training Floor Leadership Set the standard for coaching quality through your own example Lead warm-ups, transitions, coaching cues, and overall session flow Create consistency across every class Foster a structured, energetic, and welcoming training environment Coach Development Support and mentor Sports Performance Specialists (SPS) Model exceptional coaching behaviors on the floor Provide thoughtful, constructive feedback that helps coaches improve Help create coaching consistency through observation, feedback, and daily leadership Athlete Experience Balance high expectations with positivity and encouragement Help athletes develop confidence alongside athletic performance Create an environment where every athlete feels challenged, supported, and valued Especially support female athletes in building confidence and staying engaged in sport for the long term Parent Trust & Communication Be visible, approachable, and professional with parents Support conversations around long-term athletic development Help parents understand the "why" behind our training approach Partner with the Member Experience Lead on onboarding and retention Leave parents feeling informed, confident, and excited about their athlete's development Testing & Performance Tracking Execute Redline performance testing protocols Ensure accurate data collection and organization Help athletes and families clearly understand progress over time Success in This Role Looks Like Athletes love coming to train.
