Professional Educator License (PEL) as required by the State of Illinois.
DESCRIPTION
Leaders in Theatre Ensemble Play - Director HF puts on an annual play in that entertains audiences for three days. 1. Submit a copy of the script to the activities director for approval for the summer prior to the scheduling meetings and before purchasing production rights. 2. Have a production personnel/budget meeting with the activities director prior to the pre-production meeting and before verbally offering service providers a monetary amount for specialist services. 3. Coordinate with the technical director regarding the set design, properties, and costumes before any items are purchased. 4. Secure service providers, processing them through the activities director, notifying them of the pre- production and post-production meetings, and providing scripts. 5. Manage all production paperwork and production specific needs. 6. Design and order posters and programs/playbills. 7. Hold auditions, post the cast list, have students accept/decline their roles, make casting adjustments, post the final cast list, and hold a cast production meeting. 8. Develop, distribute, and post a rehearsal schedule to the cast and the activities director. 9. Supervise actors during and after rehearsals/performances. 10. Clean up the facility after each meeting, rehearsal, and performance. 11. Secure the facilities after each meeting, rehearsal, and performance so no student has access. 12. Store all costumes and properties in the loft after the production closes. 13. Secure service providers for post-production meeting (timesheets and itemized receipts). 14. Submit a cast list/program to the Thespian sponsor to verify hours for cast and crew.
