Job Description

INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY

TITLE:

Musical Director #2

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Building Principal, the Musical Director #2 is responsible for teaching and rehearsing all songs in an annual all-school musical production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Holds auditions.

Attends all rehearsals.

Attends three performances.

Coordinates and collaborates with Music Director #1 on all aspects of the musical to create a theatrical experience.

Works with hired sound and equipment companies to run music and microphone cues during performances.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Current member of the Oxford Education Association.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position for extended periods and/or position oneself to demonstrate technique; move up to 25 lbs. Accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work is generally performed primarily indoors and predominantly in a school classroom or in the school auditorium.
